I have been involved in internet and sales roles along with the business development for 16 years. During that time, I played a key role in restructuring a company that was on the verge of bankruptcy to a turnover of around £4 million in 2 years. Since that time, I have moved into internet sales, both in my prior work experience and with my current company. I assist in developing new markets and provide the infrastructure for not only growth but profit and longevity.
I was brought in to build a company website that would tie in multiple shop windows and selling platforms into one user friendly SEO website maintained in one admin area. In addition, move the company into more lucrative ecommerce selling platforms (eBay and Amazon) increasing brand image and buying power. There were many challenges, as there is no online or company stock control, limited involvement from management staff, and varying price points between multiple store locations. I was up to the task, taking a virtually non-existent online sales company to a 1500 order and a monthly turn-over of £16,000 to £17,000 in 4 months; achieved while only working on about 100 to 150 SKU products. The positive growth and feedback has resulted in contacts from both eBay and Amazon requesting the company’s participation in programs like eBay’s advance growth seller program and ‘Fulfilment by Amazon’ (FBA). All steps taken in my current role to launch the company into lucrative online platforms, while working with suppliers to provide quality goods and services at competitive prices, that will be profitable in these developing markets.
