Ferrari 458 Speciale Review

Though this model is no longer in active production you can still get used versions that are wonderful.

The Ferrari 458 Speciale offers 597 horse power and 398 lb-ft torque from the naturally aspirated 4.5 litre V8 engine.

This is not a turbocharged option but it does still offer a great deal of power for what it is.

The power comes from a 14:1 compression ratio and a new manifold and airbox that is rendered from carbon fiber, higher lift on for both intake and exhaust valves, new pistons, and intake runners and ports.

The gearbox is a seven speed dual clutch automatic transmission which shifts beautifully and is perfect for those that want power and ease as well.

The acceleration from 0 to 62 mph is an impressive 3 seconds.

The design is aerodynamic and aggressive so that you get the look and feel of a typical Ferrari with just a bit more ease of use for those that may not be comfortable driving a manual transmission.

Only 499 were built so it is not a terribly common option for those that are looking for one but it is one that can still be found with a bit of looking.

This model was debuted at the 2014 Paris Auto Show and it has not lost any popularity even though it is no longer in production.

Overall this is great for those that want the look and feel of a Ferrari and a traditional sports car and want something that is going to be stunning no matter which angle you approach it from.
